Teriyaki Beef


tERIYAKI bEEF (Level 1)

3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons dry sherry
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar substitute
4 cloves garlic minced
6 thin slices fresh ginger, smashed
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 pounds flank steak

In a small bowl mix together all ingredients except the steak. in a
nonreactive shallow pan, combine the steak and the sauce, Cover and
chill at least one hour or overnight. (Best marinated overnight)

Preheat the broiler.

Broil the steak, turning once, until medium-rare, 3 to 4 minutes per
side. Slice across the grain and serve.
